Eight Years And Still Going

Well today is our Eight Year Wedding Anniversary.

Wow, has it been that long. Having fun really does make a difference when you’re in a unending roadtrip because you forget time.

We didn’t do much, we watched “The Watchmen” although we left mid-way because Maan wanted to help Nanay do the preparations for our dinner party. We decided to hold a small party with our Kumpares and Kumares here in Shadow Creek.

The guys didn’t stay long they just waited to finish “Heroes”. Apparently they had no idea about the series and we’re glad we converted them hahaha.

Anyhow, after they left we did this impromptu photo below. Maan wanted to do a tradition that after every Anniversary party we took a family picture.

Yana has a new hand to hold.

Margarette Marie Mascarenas Lardizabal was born on Feb 16, 2009 7PM Central Standard Time.

She was born 8 lbs 37 ounces, 20.51 inches.

Goddards am loving it

Today, when I picked up Yana from here school (Goddard Montessori) her teacher gave me here activity sheets.

And man I am so happy we enrolled her there. Aside from the obvious speech improvement Yana was actually being taught how to write, read numbers and letters. It’s not like we don’t teach her here at home but being taught along with her peers seem to have a very positive effect on her learning pace.

I’m glad we didn’t bring yana to a day care, hearing from my friend’s stories the montesori does really make a difference.

And definitely when Maggie arrives and she is two we’ll enroll her there.

Yana’s 3rd Birthday Party

Last Saturday we celebrated Yana’3 3rd Birthday Party. It was suppose to be today buy we reckon a lot of folks had to come from work and wouldn’t be able to party so much.

As usual the house was jammed packed. We even hired a Moonwalk so that the kids can play outside. Luckily the weather was cooperative. It was slightly chilly but bearable.

Apologies if there wasn’t much pictures to show, I was busy playing at the garage with my band mates.

New Year New Oppurtunities New Adventures

Just a quick run down:

- Yana started going to school, and made great strides in her speech. She can speak in whole sentences now although bulol pa rin, mana sa mommy hahaha…

- Maan is about to give birth to our second daughter

- Maan became more daring in her photoshoots (at least based sa mga ka-klase nya nun highschool). Apparently, Maan was the “Maria Clara” of her class. And by her posing implied-nude and all, kinda shocked them.

- I started playing with my neighbors in our garages as a bass player of all things hehehe

- I also started accepting wedding photo gigs (please don’t call me a sell-out we need the dough).

2008 has been a good year for us, despite some of the set backs we are greatful that we have a house to live on, food to eat and spare money to send back home to our loved ones.

Hopefully 2009 would be the same or even better, we may be in a recession and money is tight but that should not deter us in enjoying life.

We should embrace new challenges and treat them as new adventures. Who knows maybe there is something out there for us waiting to be discovered. How will we find out if we live in fear and just exist.
