To most western folks taking pictures and recording the video of any funeral may seem taboo, but to us Filipinos this is part of the healing process.

We have to see the pictures of our dead in order to move on and accept that our loved ones have gone to a better place.

We look at the pictures not because we revel on their death but because we do not want to dwell on the sorrow and grief of their absence.

It is in our nature (being Filipino) to be optimistic, to be brave and to be jolly despite all the trials we are beset.

Thus, without any intent of malice nor controvesy we will post my Auntie Rebecca’s funeral pictures as well as video stream.
